part locations

I'm looking for the connector to this light. I would like to buy just the connector or make it if need be. I have not had any luck in locating a vendor for it. Here is a picture of the connector i'm looking for.

Any help will be awesome

This appears to be the kind of bullet-end bulb that you find in the overhead light fixture in your car. It takes a double-end mount, and I've seen two kinds; most prevalent is the sort that it just clips into -- the mount blades have indentations that hold the bulb in place and provide power. One end is hot, and the other grounds to the vehicle. You could also use a standard "fuse" type mount, but that doesn't provide fixed lateral positioning.

I suspect you could find these -- cheap -- in the auto graveyard, or possibly at an auto parts store by buying the whole overhead light fixture.

Yes you are correct it is the bulb for a dome light or map light. to be specific this one is the 6418 I was hoping to find a supplier of just the ends instead of having to buy the replacements and then breaking them to get the part i wanted. I would even be willing to make them. have tried to contemplate doing so. Such as heating up pop cans so it would be malleable and then press a mold in it. don't know how well that would work but it's an idea.

I misunderstood when you said you wanted the connector; I thought you meant the fixture that connects to it.

Unless you want a large quantity of them, you could still go through an automotive boneyard and get several bulbs. For a small quantity, it seems easiest to just bust the bulbs and take the ends.

How do you plan to use these?

i'm planning on using them for leds with a control from a car pc in the end. special effects or just changing color for special reasons. you know like every geeks dream that making my car into a disco machine the girl in the passenger seat will mall me. the hard part getting her in there. i think a club will do just fine.

why bother if they already available to buy, small led to fit in between those bulb sockets will cost u plus they will be a pain to work with since they are so tiny.

i don't want to promote anything but i bought my stuff here, some cheap leds for dash ect do not produce enough light so try looking for wide angle ones preferably with some kind of reflector
