I will say that Dodge does not skimp out on certain things. Their factory amps are always solid. Their trucks are always built well. My only grip is that on the looks department they seem to have been clueless, also on interior. That is one of the reasons I went with a 2003 model. I love the styling, and I like the interior, it doesn't feel as plastic like, like on the later models. From day one I have always put full synthetic. Dodge puts beautiful engines in their trucks and I want mine to stay that way.
The factory amplified alpine system is also holding up well, since I have been bumping it for a year now. For the record the truck after 1 year has 14,500 miles on it and 12,000 on the PC. It's also had 5 oil changes of Mobil 1 in this time :D
I have to say that for a truck this thing is pretty fast. Not very nimble but it will easily smoke a 3 series or a4 in a hole shot. Now that it's been broken in more, I've been seeing what she's got ;)
