Hey, that's no problem at all if you hold the pcb for now. Can you take some more photos? Maybe close-ups?
I haven't found the top for the BM yet, but I will take a better look at home today - that's where the disassembly began.

I have now tested cpu, and the motor drive. There is a problem with the motor drive. It tend to oscillate. I probably need to put a cap somewhere. But at the moment I can activate the motor with the button on the pic.

When I got the motor drive sorted, and also the door sensor inputs so that I can run it as it is intended I will make a short video.

Still need to test ibus, io, led drive analogue switch....

By the way, your BM looks a bit different than mine - did you paint the case black or was it always black? Also, I'm assuming you cut the top piece off?

Yes I love electronics :-)

I have not painted anything, and I have not cut anything away. But on the picture the rear chassis has been screwed off. 3 screws. There will be more pics eventually.

I have found that the BM is not happy if motor is disconnected. But from what I've undesrstood you removed the main pcb in the BM anyway. If not, you may want to remove the BM motor driver, or it will/may oscillate until fire... Instructions will follow.

I keep my mainboard since I need the button electronics intact.

Step by step...

I see what you are saying about the rear section - I was going to unscrew it as well, but decided not to.

The only thing that remained in my BM is the motor and the sensors - all the boards have been removed. I actually removed the motor for now so I can open/close the screen - the motor was obviously restricting that.

I removed the rear part just to get better access and better pictures. I will put it back.

Removeing motor is no problem, but do not remove sensor (as I did) if you can avoid it because it is very hard to get in the right position again. If it is one gear off, it will not open or close properly.

If I had my car now, I would go to work and fix the motor drive etc. Now I have to wait until monday. Monday will be a good day. Get my car back, pick up the new amplifier and speaker instead of the stolen ones.

Well, I guess I may be needing Sunday off :-)

Yes 1232001, I sometimes feel that I've hijacked the thread. Sorry about that. But having a nice pcb that controls the motor is an important part for getting a nice unit, don't you think? But maybe I could hold back a little on status reports.

Saving one post here, I am currently running the DC motor design with spice, as it tend to oscillate at some supply voltages.

One possible feature I just realized when reading RRvoicecontrol thread was that if there is a LED backlight on the LCD brightness can be controlled by voice with this hw. Cool or not? "Let there be light" :-)

oh come on B-O! I was actually thinking how this thread turned into our work log where nobody else is chiming in

- but that's absolutely fine we'll just create a new thread later where we can narrow down what we have accomplished.

voice control for LCD brightness would be pretty damn cool!!! let's do this

p.s. keep updating - gives me something to look forward to while at work
