No no, "Jack", not "Adam" ;-)
Yes there is a difference what you do. G(u)arding a hotel a winter is not much fun, and not counting bloodcells as I do all the time either...

    Nice cameras and objectives deep
I only have a 450D myself and the 70-200 2.8f IS USM ULTRASONIC objective is on my wishlist at B&H.

I got my Intel X-25m yesterday and did a complete install of Windows Embedded 7 64-bit, with standard "application friendly" install build. (5Gb install)
When install was complete, I booted the thing several times, and the average where this.

Something I think is fairly nice without any tweaking in BIOS or OS at all!

BTW: In windows own "benchmark" the disk got 7,5 out of 7,9 in score.
    Its FAST!

The 70-200 is a very nice lens. I use that one the most I think.
450d is a decent camera - when it's your business and your hobby it is handy because you can buy all the gadgets and claim them on tax hehe.

I plan to use Win7 embedded, but I don't want to get too involved with it until I finish all my other CarPC projects! Otherwise this thing will never get into the car!

To my great sorrow, I have had to accept that hardware never compensates for an inperfect photografic sense :-( Therefor my admiration for people who does know how to use a camera is so much greater. And composers, and painters, and....

Btw: 300 dollar BM with CD plus 75 in p&p

We just recently bought Canon EOS XS; just starting out so I heard this should be a good start. I love the camera, but just like B-O, I have a photographic sense of a toddler Good thing my girlfriend is amazing at it - otherwise I'd feel like I wasted a perfectly good camera...

B-O, I like how you switched the subject

    :-)

I had to compare the intel SSD with my Samsung 64GB that bought 2008-March-05. Similar speed, I guess writing could be faster. I am very happy with my disk too, but less happy to see that the price now was 150€... I paid 650€ or slightly more...

Well BO - to be honest, I would prefer that you have your abilities which you have now, rather than photographic abilities. Or we wouldn't have our PCB's

kraimer, you should buy the 50mm prime for your camera - it is a great lens to start out with, stops down to 1.8 and is only $120AUD. Gives great bokeh and is actually closer to an 80mm lens on the cropped sensor.

These two are in my wishlist
    http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...mm_f_1_2L.html
    http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...f_2_8L_IS.html

Both to expensive, but they are super sweet

A friend of mine, who is a professional photographer, just bought this baby... http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...TS_E_17mm.html
Fun to play with, and only usable to make presentation for realestates to use.

B-O: yes... the prices on SSD have dropped drastically.
I waited for Intel to release their 40Gb series of the X25-m and I bought my SSD for about 250USD

Oh btw Deepgrey... It REALY helps deducting taxes when buying photo equipments
