i got an honda civic coupé from 94 and i want to install an carpc in it...
at first i thought i would install it in the trunk, but after i started planning i wonder if i could find a better place...
the reason why i don't think the trunk is a good place anyway is because of the heavy wiring required:
4m screen wire
4m usb wires (for mouse, keyboard, etc.)
4m audio cable from sound card to headunit and from headunit to amplifier = 2x 4m audio cable
and maybe more...
so i wonder if you have a good idea where i can install my carpc?
You could also mount it behind the dash if it's small enough.....

i'd say behind the dash if you can, glove box if you dont mind loosing the storage space, or under a seat if there is room.
or if there is enough room in the passenger footwell, make up a false floor to hide it under, will look normal, be safe, and easy to work on
I would get over the fact that you need heavy wiring from the trunk. I have mine in my hatchback and ran all my wires from the front to the back in less then half a day. I did this because I didn't want to put it under the seat, in the glove box, or behind the dash taking a chances of over heating. So far it's been about two years and it's running strong!
