06 Ford Fusion

Hi....Has anyone installed a screen in the pocket on the dash of this car? I just got one, and was thinking a motorized popup screen like in Mazda 6 would be nice.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I have the same question. Searching has revealed nothing relevant. Has anyone done this or tried to do this?

obviously instead of using wood you could just fabricate the current bezel.

using the search function I found 3 ford fusion installs and i believe there is atleast one mercury milan install (which is basically the exact same car). Atleast one of them has to be helpful to you.

No, they are not relevant because those are all in dash installs. The OP and I were asking about putting a screen in the storage space ON TOP of the dash. I am interested in keeping the OEM radio and having a screen.

ohhh i see. I didn't realize what pocket you were talking about. It seems like its completely possible. I don't own the car but i did test drive it once and I remember thinking that I could fab a head unit in that space.

Here are some close up pics of the space your talking about on a mercury milan which I have also test drove. Its practically the same car.

I have a 2010 Fusion rental car in the driveway right now if you need any further pics or measurements. But let me know today, it might be going back tomorrow, I'm just waiting for the call to get my truck back.
Oh and no I won't dissasemble the dash for pics so don't ask

...lol

I have a 2009 Fusion sitting in my driveway right now. I was just hoping that someone had done it in the past because I don't want to fab everything from scratch.
