nice pc. I'm trying to build something very similar, so I would like to find out why the amp it's not compatible with the mb?(I have the single core Atom mb)
Some picture updates of the savanna PC v2. Bezel texture paint is finished, along with the rest of the chassis. Just need to tie up a few loose ends and this van PC will be on it's way back to Scott.

I think it has something to do with the triad chipset. It picks up all the noise from the cpu, ram, northbridge, etc.

Sorry Joe, not yet. I've been waiting for school to end before I do anything. There are still the issues we discussed that I need to iron out. I'm aiming for mid January.

Update: I am currently tinkering with the CB microphone/bluetooth with the Droid X. I've gotten it connected through Bluesoleil but haven't yet got it working through phonecontrol.net. I can hear the Droid's audio through the computer's speakers. The CB microphone works but has a few issues.
- It has a one second delay before you can hear anything. I did some research and believe it's a Windows 7 issue (unless someone wants to enlighten me otherwise).
- When I press the mic button (complete the mic circuit) there is a pop sound. Not a huge deal, but it seems similar to the amp thump you commonly hear when you improperly install an amp (fail to connect the anti-thump wire). That is just an estimate, it might not be that at all.
Anyone care to enlighten me?

Oh and for the record I tried two separate CB microphones: a generic 4 pin I bought at an electronics store and a stock Cobra mic that came with the 29NWWXST, with both producing the same results.

And the popping sound when I press the mic button is the same as if you plug in the mic to the pink audio jack on the back of the motherboard.

Update: I did some more testing/researching on the mic issue. I plugged the mic into the line in jack, and the lag disappears. I'm assuming because the mic signal passes straight through the line in as analog, where as with the mic input, Windows 7 converts it to a digital signal before sending it to the speakers, thus creating the lag. Now if there was a way to make the Bluetooth software use the line in as the microphone instead of the mic jack...

Or maybe I can get an old school PCI analog sound card?
