Managed to put 2 layers of 1.5oz matte down gonna let it dry over night, put on some fiberglass filler tomorrow after work and hopefully get some rough sanding done.
Made some more progress last night, i have my console sanded to the point im happy with it i just need to pick up some more primer today to finish it up then ill post pics of it, also made a lot of progress on my woofer enclosure its almost finished already i skipped the beginning pictures since its not exciting to see pieces of wood cut out but leave me some feedback on the progress.
Basic shape, meets to the top edge of the back seats
I like to use tshirts over fleece since it takes less resin to harden the initial shape, but couldnt find a shirt large enough for the top and all wal mart seemed to have was this spongebob clearance blanket lol.
The picture from inside the box is to show what iv learned makes the job much much easier, if you leave the back off of an enclosure after the initial shape is hardened it gives you the ability to add your fiberglass from the inside which keeps the original shape much better, i normally add a thin layer of matte and some fiberglass filler to the outside just so i dont sand down to the cloth material before primering.
The box itself is 3cuft per chamber with 3" ports tuned to 35hz for 2 arc audio Kar-12 dual 4 ohm woofers (250wrms handeling), an ard audio fd1200.1 1200 watt amplifier (much overkill but id rather have more power and less clipping then underpowererd and an ard audio fd4150 4 channel amplifier for 4 sets of component speakers (1 set in each door and 2 sets in a pod on the ceiling) pics soon to come.
Welp heres the center console im really happy with how it turned out, tomorrow im gonna lay down some fiberglass over the carpeted area and fill all the cracks in so its 1 solid piece.
The enclosure just has a few little things to go over, mostly tiny low spots and pinholes
Probably overkill but ANY imperfection that i can see ill circle with a sharpie so i know exactly what to fill, sometimes it gets overwhelming when you have a few minnutes work time with your filler and a billion tiny holes to pick from lol

I made some more progress on my center console, got all the glasswork and most of the filling done, just have a few spots to touch up and do some fine sanding, im gonna TRY and at least get this box/sub and sub amp functioning by the weekend so i can hear this thing and see how it sounds.
