I'm about to start a new project, a new center console for my truck. I'm building the base out of wood, covering that with fabric and then laying fiberglass on top, then the coats of plastic
body filler etc. I know the body filler will take up some of the gap, but I would like to get close with the fiberglass. In most spots the thickness of the project wont really matter, but where it ties into the dash the thickness needs to be pretty close.
My question is, how much thickness will 2-3 layers of fiberglass add to my overall project, I need to subtract this from the width of my console so the whole thing will tuck nicely into the dash opening.
Thanks
