Wonder if anyone here has any experience with a Peugeot 406? I'm due to be buying one beginning of next month and I can't wait to get playing with things. I haven't seen it in person yet but will be getting it from a trustworthy friend so I'm not too worried about that.
From the pictures I've seen online, I am interested in the space just below the steering wheel, it looks like there is a headlight level switch and OBD port in there, is anyone able to advise if that area would be suitable for a single din head unit? My idea is to relocate my Sony CDX-F7500 in there and mount a flip up touch screen in the usual head unit slot. Can anyone tell me if the opening next to the steering wheel is a suitable size for a single din unit? It looks roughly right from the pictures but would need a custom bezel made up. Just found this video that shows exactly where I mean, looks like there's plenty of space to work with: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HvZLewcIGtA#t=84
Also can anyone advise how much space there is in the sides of the trunk/boot (of the estate/station wagon version) for stashing gadgets and wiring?
