Wasn't the topic on fiberglass vs. bondo? lol, who said anything about GPS?

I'm new btw...Got an Epia 800 on its way (i killed it, trying to RMA, big ordeal...) + soon to be buying 7" Lilliput...yeah '95 Tbird...dash is kinda hard to mod for the screen but I think i'm gonna try it. My double dins are like 1.5" smaller than the width of the lcd, I guess i'm supposed to dremel into my dash and bondo it up?

wow, i totally lied. I didn't realize that my double din is like the perfect size for a 7" lilliput...just a tad bit too tall...bondo can fix that tho

Yes, this is an ok idea... honestly, if you go to the trouble of making a mold so you can repoduce it, you should go ahead and make a copy and use IT instead of the original piece (often called a plug)... the reason for this is that in MOST cases, no matter how good you are, eventually it WILL crack... if you make a copy that is a single piece of fiberglass, it is UNLIKELY to EVER crack... just my opinion from past experience.
