With, if I understand the animated documentaries correctly, boxing gloves. They are shipped around the world in crates.

If you fill with it liquid you could just measure the difference in weight then do some simple math, figure out how much weight of liquid (water most likely) is in it, then do more math to convert it to volume.

You could also remove the water out of the enclosure and then measure it in measuring cups or something.
w/ this method you have to know temperature of the water and the pressure on the water... then from that you figure out the density...

note: to get an accurate reading from the thermometer... read the bottom of the meniscus...

you can figure out the pressure on the water by finding out what your elevation relitive to sea level... or you can use a barometer

also... use spring water... don't use tap or sea... b/c they have minerals and salt which won't allow you to get an accurate density if you look it up in your

after that... go into your thermal dynamics book or fluid mechanics book and look in the water properties table, find the coresponding density

take the inverse of the density and multiply by the mass of the water and there you go... you get the volume.... its that simple
