It would be easiest to sacrifice the center piece for the project. Remove it, check what clearance is available underneath, and determine the screen's location. Cut away the necessary plastic. Use model aircraft ply, hobby-quality super glue, and assemble the screen bezel/mount portion of the part. I also sacrificed the front of the Lilliput case and glued it onto the framework. The part on the sides that will taper away to match the dash hump can then be made from Balsa-Foam or balsa wood, then shaped and glassed over. Finally, bondo is only used for finish filler work before primer. All of the materials should be available at the local hobby shop.
