Everything else will be sermos also. They are very cheap and they can be assembled in a ton of different shapes. Not to mention they are rated 30 amps, so they chances of having a meltdown are very very slim. here is a link to see how they work and what they look like

nice link, those things look sweet!

if i ever need to hook up power again, thats what im using.

Used these things for a bit when i raced RC cars. They are very good as they don't disconnect easily and are easy to put together and take apart for resoldering and they have little keyed joiners ont he side to you can arrange them in a big block. We used to use silver plated ones and I never melted one due to high current or bad connection problems. And they are cheap.

The first 200 some pages of the digikey catalog is all different kinds of connectors. I'm pretty sure they will ship overseas. I'm sure you'll be able to find something that's just right for your app in there. It's also just a great catalog to have for this sort of hobby. www.digikey.com

ps: I'd get something that has some sort of retainer so it won't vibrate off

I'm using a 50pin D connector from a SCSI-1 cable I found in a clearance bin. I tried several other types until I went with the scsi one, it works the best. For high current capability tie miltuple pins together.

Im just building this part of my system right now. Im going to be using a parallel port connector wired with 12 conductor cat3 cabling. This is for my power button, power led, usb, video, and power to the screen.

I havent made it yet, and i am slightly concerened with interference in the video from the power lines, but im just going to try it and see what happens.
Project AutoBoxen: Coming along, almost ready to hook up in the car.
Celeron 500, 192mb ram, 8gb hdd, other stuff.
'91 Mazda 626: Its free, so ill use it.

    Neutrik Speakon

    Hello,
I also use Neutrik-Speakon to connect the Power to my Carputer! I Use the 4-Pin versin.I think it's ratet at about 4 amps
There is also also a connector called "Power-Connector" or so from neutrik which should handle some more amps...
Just do a little search at google and you schould find a cheap dealer next to you! My Connectors cost about 3€'s each! For the other connections I would use a 15-Pin VGA connector..

    Thanks for the link.

Anyone else? Watcha using? Or is it all too ghetto, and you're too embarassed?
