How's the viewing angle of the screen with it mounted like that? I have 2002 GT and was considering putting my Xenarc screen where the radio currently is with about a 20 degree tilt so it's more visible when looking down on it. I want to move the radio down to about where you have your screen mounted if there's enough rear clearance. I plan to use my car computer mostly for navigation & movies since my Pioneer stereo already plays MP3s. I'll have to relocate the buttons for my defrost/traction control/fog lights to move the radio though. It'll be a lot of work - I hope it turns out OK. I've bought a backup radio bezel as a replacement just incase things go horribly wrong

Its not that hard to skip the mach system. Forget tapping into it, not worth it. The radio isn't good enough in my opinion.

Pull the radio, add a 4channel amp, and run your ampd signal back up to the factory wiring in the dash. The tweeters in the 460 are NOT amplified in the stock mach setup so these are good wires to use in order to get your signal out to the doors without running new wires all the way there. Cut your door speaker wires that come from the factory amp, then run your tweeter wires down to them. Wallah, you've ran your amp out to the factory wiring and then from your factory tweets to your door speakrs. Its probably a good idea to replace the speakers too but you can do that later if you don't have the cash right away. Your only held back by yourself, not the mach system!

to get the center moulding off is simple but kinda sketchy- down where the stick boot is, there is a plastic moulding that is held place in by clips, pull that up to get clearance for the center. then behind the lcd or where the wire harnesses are there is a brace stretching toward the engine with one screw holding it. take the screw out then pop the bottom of the moulding up and start pulling on it working you way up the sides moving to the middle, until the second pair of clips are pulled out. now go to the top of the mould where it meets the dash and push down on that kinda hard while pulling out. there are clips on either side above each vent. then just pull it off. the whole time i did it for the first time, i thought something was going to snap off, but as long as you dont jerk on it, it should be okay-

To all the people with the Mustangs, where did you mount the actual computer? I have a 2000 Convertible and want to install a carputer. I want this in-dash monitor - How much for a fold-out LCD w/ DVD - but don't have a clue what type of computer to get or where to put it. Also, I have the regular speakers (not Mach) and was wondering what I would need to get to play MP3's through the carputer? Would I need another head unit or what?
