Beatyfull Enforcer!!! Can't wait for you to finish it!
what kind of clay did you use? (the red stuff). I imagine it would be something strong so that the shape is maintained when pulled out of the dash and into the plaster...

Not sure what the clay is called, a work colleague gave it to me (she does pottery stuff), it's a bit like Plasticine. will try and see if the label is still on the pack tomorrow night.Originally Posted by justintime
The clay is actually on a plexi base, which means it has help to maintain it's shape. Wouldn't rely on it holding the squarish shape on it's own.
Hey Enforcer, any news on this?
OK, Not had chance to do anything major with this. Away from home on Wednesday (work), thursday managed to cut a test slot on back to try out some caotings to prevent the fibreglass sticking on the plastercast (want to use this more than once if poss). Tried cooking oil, WD40, and EPA glue.
Last night (Friday) went to see a recording of the Kumars at 42 at BBC televison centre.
Today, tried some fibreglass on test area, looks like the EPA glue did the best. So have coated the mould with that, now waiting for it to dry. Will put the first fibreglass on tomorrow aft. as playing golf in morning.
@justintime : ON the packaging it just says Trident Colour Clay.Non Toxic modelling material.
Did it dry yet?
Yeah, put the fibreglass in yest. actually two layers, have teken it out, now having to sand it down a bit. (read loads at the back). Have taken pics but didn't have the PC on yesterday so will post tonight when I get home (once the footie has finished. COME ON YE REDS).Originally Posted by Cris
