The only issue I would see is that the screen might not be in the same place for you. Even if it's out by a couple of millimeters it will make a big difference.
As for fixing it, not sure, may be a case of letting friction do the job. But also looking at the possibility of putting two screws through the top into the air vent. The air vent already has two screws to fix that, so take them out and replace with longer ones.

do you have any pictures of your dash removed? I am trying to do the same but trying to figure out what screws I need to touch to pull that center dash piece off.
also, how do you like the lilliput so far? is quality ok? are you experiencing the burnt-in dragon image effects?
