    Perspex in the UK?

Where can I buy Perspex or acrylic (if that's what it's called) in the UK, especially Kent area?

I went to a store that does artist materials and they just looked at me like I had just farted

My next car does not have a double din slot, so I am gonna make the casing out of clear plastic, possibly add some neon too, just for the Kevin factor

Perspex/acrylic/plexiglass, all basically different names for the same thing.

Your best bet would probably be to find a glass specialist, get talking to them, see if they've got any offcuts, and offer them a few £ for their tea fund to have a trawl through their skip If you decide to buy anything, you'll be looking at a lot of ££, and you'll probably only get huge sheets, but you're likely to find big enough bits in their skip as offcuts

If you manage to find somewhere before this weekend, and you're going to the Kent/SE meetup, I might be interested in some if you've got enough spare for me to build a custom box for my Epia and Opus

Yeah i would say try a glazing place. I think B&Q sell some sheets but not sure if it will be too thin. Radio spares (rswww.com) should have some but they might be expensive and you could always see if you could buy some from a local high high school as we used to use plastic all the time. The usual stuff to use is acrylic but this is quite brittle, polycarbonate would be a better bet (commonly found under the name of Lexan) as this suff is a lot tougher (used in bullet proof glass and RC car body shells).
