    Advice for an Alero

Ok, so i'm not too handy with making custom things, but am willing to try. I am trying to make the setup look as stock as possible. I am just looking for tips on what screen to get to place in my dash. I want 7" VGA, I read that a lot of people have the Lilliput, but I want somtthing black that will match the trim. Also, how will I make the screen mount flush to the back of the surrounding trim so that there is no gaps. Also, I think a problem might be how the corners in the opening are rounded, and might cut off te corners of the screen a little bit. Any advice or ideas are much appreciated!! thanks, and please go easy on me. this is my first post

Great news. If you go to aleromod.com and go under the audio video section you will find quite a few posts about it and how to go about it. I beleive I have a few pics of my setup posted there as well.

yeah, i'm on aleromod since way back when it was still aleroboard.com anyways, i don't post very much there, just read a lot
anyways, i couldnt find any pics of your setup on there, just the one of Storm or whoever, but his screen had gaps and stuff. Not knocking his setup, just saying i would want mine to be flush and have clean looking trim.

to me your best bet is to buy an indash lcd touch screen like the one at digitalww.com and perhaps use that half din area to mount a slim dvd drive. then mount your comp in the trunk, glovebox, under the seat, or wherever you have some room. Good luck with you carputer project.

I will say this till I get photos posted. If you get an HP E-pc it will fit perfectly under the passenger seat if you remove the seat spring. Plus its already set up for dc supply
