enclosure or dash?

I'm going to mount the screen in a to-be-built enclosure below my HVAC controls. Should I mount the PC there too or in the glove box?

Opinions? Pros/Cons? Thanks.

Room's not an option, plenty in both places. Air circulation is trivial because cooling PCs is my claim to fame.

if you can fit it all behind the dash..go for that so you can still use your glove compartment

unless you need to get at the hardware often, then put it in the glove box..

i dont really understand the cooling talk on these forums. I am an overclocker so my desk box is cooled like no other. but my car box is a different story. epia m10000 120a and a full size hard drive. No fans other than the cpu fan. 10 by 10 by 3 box aluminum box. thats it. also its in a tight space in the trunk so no airflow around the box. Ive not had not one problem in the last year, that was heat related.

epia M9000, inverter, lilly, xbox... plus cathod and LED fans are cool :)

well, i thnk the only cooling i have to do is for my stupid ITPS. ive been reading this forum and i have found out that ITPS is a b**ch hehe

also, i have mobile HD, dvdrom, epia, 512ddr, pw-120 and lilliput. the only real 'hot' h/w is the monitor itself. hahaha

maybe I'll watercool the whole rig... works for OCing

I think that if it will fit in the dash, go for it, but it will be a pain to do if it's tight. In the dash is as close as stock as you can get IMO, but may not be worth the effort. Watercooling is a bad idea for car systems BTW:
