Oh!
It was you who said that on the first page, I thought you were someone else (without looking at prev page) who was trying to differentiate between where they wanted and where you wanted it.
PS My system is up and running, just need to make some changes. (like put the lilliput in rather than have my pioneer WD6010 TV screen
I would also like to see a faceplate for the honda accord 6th gen (98-02). Even though I got mine to fit well with keeping the housing a modifying the dash.
Yeah, it would be great. Xenarc also to cover all bases.
Double-din is the way to go. I've thought about doing this as I am also involved in plastics. It sounds like you'd use some prototyping tools to make urethane parts. I think a frame to hold the Lilli and the Xenarc in a double din with spots for the buttons would be sweet.
Pricing should be in the $75 +/- $25 range depending on how easy it was to install and the feature set. But it's got to be very nice for that price, not schlocky. Nice crisp edges, smooth parabolic curves and class A surfaces on the front. I'd also offer a brushed aluminum if you can insert the tool for different textures and get a good metal look to the urethane. Of course, if someone is putting it next to real brushed metal the plastic will look bad, so that might be something you need to protoype first.
I'd go for it. You can probably get some of the Carputer online sites to carry them. You might also just get a Xenarc or Lilli dealership and sell the assembled units.
Some sort of mold for a 2004 Subaru WRX to replace the stock clock piece. I'm making one by hand now (it aint gonna be pretty when it's done), so I'll post pics later to give you an idea of what I mean.
Thanks for all the feedback!! It looks like there would definitely be some interest in an OEM look double din adapter bracket/facia for both the Lilliput AND the Xenarc. I'm already behind on my own install project so it may take a while longer to get anything moving on these. I think I'd probably start on the Japanese & then German cars. Any other common manufacturers to look at, maybe Subaru, Volvo, Saab???
Jeep Grand Cherokee 2K and newer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That would be my suggestion.![]()
