I know you cant really tell but i did make some progress today, I got the plexi mounted and holes drilled to mount the amp. i'm liking the blue, matches my car. i wired everything up in the car to test it and then ran into my inverter problem, not sure WTF I did but i had cut the power switch from my xantrex inverter to extend the damn thing and it wasnt working the way i wanted to i put the old switch back on and fired it up and now i have a constant fault light and screamin fault alarm plus no a/c power output. So i spent 2 hours screwing with that to no avail, finally e-mailed xantrex tech support to see what they think it might be.
its always somethin........

whats gunna keep ***** outta the fans/fan holes?
i would say put in LED or cold cathode 80mm pc fans (blue) then find a thin black carpet to cover it with. should look pretty cool
thats my plan.

it looks great so far. Have you considered putting plexi over the mobo as well? I think it would look nice. Although the extra work may not be worth it.
but my plan is LEDS under the plexi window that will eventually go over the amp as soon as i breakdown and buy a router. cover the fans with filters and fan grills and cover the rack withOriginally Posted by paradox

Thanks and yeh I thought about it but this is also my daily driver and I haul stuff in the back of the car too , plexi scratches really easily and that big area of plexi would be the weak link in my floor. Its also nice to keep it all hidden from prying eyes. I have a shelf that goes in the top of teh cargo area which is nice because when you have it inand look in from the rear window you cant see the amp rack at all.Originally Posted by Tred

(Sorry to keep trying to pick holes, but) What happens if (somehow) some sorta liquid spills in the boot? Ok, the fans are cheaps, but usually the mobos arnt.
have you got some way that the liquid can carry on going down and not drown the mobo?
waitaminute....... am i correct in assuming that that ply board that the psu and mobo sits on screws into that frame shown in the pic above it? if so, how the fans going to get air to the mobo, or is tht nt a concern?
Keep up the gd work! im jst trying to get sound going on my laptop, then out with the power tools![]()
