Is there a website that shows how to take apart dashboards?

Well, My cousin has a g35 and my dad a mercedes E , I am not touching those cars untill I know how to take the dash apart. I know of one website: www.installdr.com , but it is mostly for import cars and is not updated for 2004 cars. At work I have a friend who used to set up cars for celeberties; and he says that car shop like AL&Eds have access to websites that have instructions. He is trying to get me the info for that, but it will take a week or two... I was wondering if anyone knows any way i can find the way to take these dashes apart.
    Thanks

You will have to do some google searches for performace or modding forums for your particular car since all dashes are different.

BTW you gots to share that info if your friend comes through

yun: your best bet is to goto autozone or o'rieleys (sp) and get a book for your car. It tells you how to pretty much take your car apart from interior, to exterior. They are like 25$ and well worth the investment. Besides, itll tell you how to do your own coolant flushes, oil changes, change spark plugs, ect, etc, etc etc. WELL WORTH IT. That was the first thing i ever bought for both my cars

For the g35, check out http://www.g35driver.com and http://www.g-owners.com you should be able to get almost all of what you need from there. In particular, this is a great article for taking out the radio and the whole front dash:
    http://www.g-owners.com/article_read.asp?id=33

Also, I highly recommend you spend $20 and download the whole service manual from infiniti. It gives detailed instructions on how to take a part absolutly everything:

If you are looking to put a Xenarc VGA screen in a non-NAV g35, I am currently in the process of mass producing the housing I made for my own g35 and I will be selling them sometime in September once they are manufactured. Pictures of the prototype housing can be found here https://filebox.vt.edu/users/cholbroo/g35/ E-mail me at [email protected] if you want more information and pricing on it.

Most cars can be taken apart with just a little intuition and inquisitiveness.... But yeah if you don't want to pay for something like a Haynes manual or U.S. equivalent then you really need to search around. Try sites like owners clubs etc - I'm sure asking around on those sorts of sites will get a lot of answers. It used to be easy to take dashes apart, but with newer cars you need to take into consideration all the new stuff like airbags etc
