Volvo S60 in-dash project

Just wanted some feedback (good or bad) before proceeding and putting a new Xenarc (the one in the pictures is fried by now,

) in there.

The computer will be in the trunk, DVD player and USB connections in the glovebox or center console, near the handbrake.

Pic 1: This is my car
Pic 2: The interior before (yes that IS a volvo hu-803)
Pic 3: Test-install of the screen (that's when I fried it)
Pic 4: This is how I drive around now

The Xenarc is mounted in a 2din adaptor for the volvo that I bought at my garage for 25 € (30 $, I guess). Lots of sanding and painting went into that

If anyone is interested, I have a lot of pictures of the process...

btw, the clima-control panel isn't mounted as it should in the pic, so the gap will go away

Centering was not possible, considering the construction of the panel... but I will put a volume-knob to the left of the screen, as I like the control of it

I actually connect a simple mp3man mp3-player to the stock 300w amplifier with my custom-made cable.

You have a huge hole in this pic...

How is it not possible? Maybe more work but it's possible.

Yeah, a lot more work

In fact, there was a 2 din hole in the panel I bought from volvo, and I made the xenarc front fit in there. I would have had to make a coplete new opening and reposition the mount brackets for the panel.

Too much more work for me...
