    whats the name of this product?

    hi i just wanted to know if anyone knows what that stuff is that the use to mald on this screen?....is it bondo-glass?

    It does have glass in it. It is the stuff you get from a car parts place to repair bodywork. Depends where you are as to what it is called. I have used a product called Isopon P40 which is the same sort of stuff. Have a look at www.u-pol.com

    Angel hair or kitty hair in the states I think.

    Polyester resin with chopped fibre strands in. Autobody repairs shops, or I think parts stores like pepboys will have stateside.
    4x4 in a turbo stylee.

    haha i like that my work is being shown here...

    the finished product looks much better....but be prepared to do a lot of sanding

    and yes thats is kitty hair, or Fiberglass reinforced Bondo

    if i get off my *** I'll post a picture of the LCD/Bezel test fittd to the car...
    I think i did a better job then Version 1 of my car PC old_lcd shows how i used to have the screen.

    IF you go to the root you can see my custom sub build-up too... I just finished that last night (sealing it) and I still have to carpet it..

    I'll post a nice write up and pictures of all my re-working once i get done w/ installin the PC

    oh and thats not the finished product.. that was just an in the works shot.. IMG 506 and 508 show final product with the slight texture fiish to match the stock dash... here:

    thanks bud... its time consuming work when you start getting anal about lines/contours/texture...lol.. but at least i'm 1 step closer to Version 2 of my RSX-itx

    That looks like some quality work man! I'm especially interested in how you got that perfect OEM-like grain on your paint. Did you use texture paint or some special process? It looks amazing! Do tell!
