How to get off grill

How do I take the grill off? I mean I know there are tabs and such, but the front of my truck is a big chunk of plastic. Is there an easy or secret way of getting these off?

Ok my horn crapped out when I needed it on the highway today. I was left with nothing but a select finger to express my frustration. I need a new horn and I need it now. My horn is mounted under the grill. There is tons of room there for a new horn (or 4). I can't get the thing off. It seems to be a single piece of plastic (red in pic).

Any tips before I used a 2x4?

Go to get your self a Hayne's Repair Manual for your Canyon. You can get them for a automotive shop around your area. It tells you how to take apart everything in you car, so I might be useful during your install as well. Plus there not expensive.

You might check your local library... I know the local Mid-Continent Public Library in my area usuually stocks shop manuals for every vehicle. If your trying to avoid the resonable cost of your own manual, this might be a good alternative.

Beyond that, I would just let warranty take care of that problem... I mean, how old can the truck be? Its still under warranty, right? If a horn quits on that new of a car, either it was a POS and THEY should replace it at no charge, your your a road-ragin' fool and use your horn to much. Just my 2¢.

It's definatly under warenty... the trucks only a few months old. The horn was fine but not so loud when the truck was new. Now it's just working intermitently.

I figured I'd just replace it myself with a louder, better aftermarket horn. Except I can't get the damn grill off!

But the warranty should cover it. Try going to your service, tell them it's broken, and when it gets changed, you give the horn you want to the mechanic to replace it.
