Yeah, truth is I don't visit the forum as much as I once did. I had posted some pics of the screen surround in an off-topic thread once, but never did post anything on the final install. I used a xenarc screen and as discussed earlier the buttons aren't able to fit into the opening. I relocated em into the ash tray along with a usb port.

Agreed. I do like the start button though. I wonder if he didn't know how to bypass the passkey security? Bah.... whatever. Different strokes for different folks...

Well, I suppose I'll jump in.
I just purchased a 2003 Seville STS and am working on incorporating a 7" Xenarc into the dash.
For me, the location of the radio is a bit too low for a touch screen in my opinion. I plan on mounting it up on the dash above the center air vents and building a custom "shroud" for it.
Just not sure where to put the MotherBoard. Under the seat? In the back? The trunk is too far . . . still thinking.
I'll post progress as progress is made.

My STS had a lot of room in the centre console (behind/below the factory deck), and also had a lot of room behind the glove box (just a few screws to take it out).

BUT, how do i get around not having access to the buttons?
I'm still new to how the Xenarc functions and it's abilities so im not sure what are the possibilities there. There's a site that makes wood replacements for Caddies, i assume they'd have the exact color would i want. But your right, matching the two up to look good would be a real challenge.

    allow myself to introduce myself

i did this on my CTS 2005. My suggestion is put the monitor on the console and the pc under the seat or in the trunk. Makes life alot easer. as for the fabrication - it just takes a pair of cojones to take your dash apart and begin. Once started, you have everyone hear to help you.

good luck and keep us posted...
