Just the Evercoat Metal-Glaze. Its missing some curvature so its low in the middle, but fairly flush all the way around otherwise. I think the filler is probably 1/4" thick in the middle.

I ground and sanded it down to flush after the epoxy cured.

I should have put one more pic in there though. You do need to thoroughly sand around and taper into all of the seams before applying filler so nothing shows through later, and the seams are buried well.

So no fiber glass on this? Cool, Ive got the 3-gallon container of evercoat sitting in my garage. Now I will have something to do with it other than body work.

Just remember that you can't use regular filler as an adhesive. You need a good strong structural bond between the parts before any surface filling is done or the filler will crack sooner or later.

I love it Altimat... will be doing this to a new Altima console... my sis wants a tv in her car but she doesn't trust me to do it to her stock console... LOL

I used to feel that way too, but you're just buying another one right? Its the same as the original. So why tie up the money in the new part and have an extra laying around? Hack up the one in her car and save a few bucks. If you ever want to go back to stock buy the panel then.
Unless of course you can't bear to drive around with that gaping hole in the middle of your dash like I do. I think I have put more miles on my car without the center dash panel than with it!

I have a compressor and complete set of body shop tools in the garage but I still use spray cans for the little stuff.

PlastiKote Trim Black and PlastiKote Sandable Primer in black are my favorites. They smell especially bad though.

After I get coverage a spray light mist coats to get the fine texture. Hides fingerprints and smudges better then too.

Altimat, your car must be amazing... I've seen you've made your own leather interiour. Maybe you'll make a how to, on that as well... Very nice work... We should make a standard after you work... the Altimat standard.
