Hey well done mate, but why didnt you mould a vga screen in wouldve been much better in the long run
I have been reading this forum for a short while aid i got bored yesterday after work so i went and got a 7" Screen with TV Tuner my mates at Onetronic.com and proceeded to mould it into my dash
Surround trimmed to fit the bezel, was a PERFECT fit, couldnt have been a better fit, i
then hot glued the front bezel to the 2.5din trim piece.
Using fibreglass bog and normal bog i then moulded it smooth to make it have a standard
look as if it came out as a factory item (in primer)
Testing the screen & tv tuner
Comparing this item to the standard one (this will replace the head deck and single din
storage compartment (and remove the dodgy half din space that was left after installing the
deck) Head deck will then be relocated to where the ash tray is located (under the screen)
its not completely finished, today i will finish it off and get it completely smooth, dont know how to finish it though, wether to have it sprayed in 2pac or if i should spray it in bumper coat to give it the factory ruberish plastic texture feel like it was originally.

The plan is to finish it off today and get it all smoothed out, wetsanded and in primer (that coat of primer helped me spot the imperfections) then ill either bumpercote it or if i decide not to go with the textured look, ill leave it in primer and have it painted in 2pak. Either way, im gonna try and get it in the car tonight aswell as relocating the head deck so ill have more pics tonight.
looks good!
