That’s a headrest shroud. Meant to install the monitor in the back of a headrest.
While doing a xenarc picture search onI noticed that Xenarc 700 series Bezels can be found here so I guess for those with extra room in the dash and who don't want to open the cases, this might be a good way to fiberglass the bezel into a frame and allow the xenarc to come out if needed at a later date. I don't know anything about them or how well they work, but thought I would just toss the link out there.

I decided to just get an extra housing from ZipLock myself, but I know many don't want to open the cases.

It looks like it could work quite well for in-dash jobs, though.
Yes, but I think with a little fiberglass and bondo it could be molded into a dash for those who don't want to take the case apart and risk the Xenarc warranty. I don't know how the unit is held into the shroud - I know with my sunvisor LCDs they use 3M tape to basically hold the LCD to the back of the bezel.Originally Posted by Zip-Lock

I bought one, but it ended up being too big for me to use in the dash. The screen fits in there very tight and it didn't feel like it would come out unless you really try.

Ziplock, you are great.
hmmm... something like that along with what I just finished would be sweet.... like a docking cradle, too bad I'll have to make my own for the lilliput...
I'm working on a flip down conversion using one of these, by it self it worked great the xenarc really stays put
Aut cum scuto, aut in scuto
The actual Xenarc case is too big for my dash, and this would add even more room. DOH!
