Bump?
Hi all,
I'm trying to help a friend of mine with his carputer setup. He has a 98 Honda Accord.
He wants to be able to have a screen and his cd receiver in the car so that he can still listen to am radio for traffic info, etc...
In my opinion there are 2 very good places to mount the screen.
One is in the very generous double din stereo area, and the other one is in the storage area in front of where the shifter is.
The problem that we are coming to, is that the screen that he has is not all that bright, it's an old Lilliput VGA monitor, and he wants to place the screen so that it has the best daytime viewing possible.
I am attaching 2 pictures. One shows the double din stereo area, and the other shows the screen placement that I sugested. None of them are of his car. I don't have access to a camera right now. I got these pictures from www.cardomain.com
What do you guys think? Also, do you guys think that it really makes a different with windows tinted or not? He's willing to get them tinted if it'll help at all.
Thanks,
Rafster

I'm diggin' your suggestion for the 'coin tray' area. those are always an eyesore and done right, you could really wrap that dash down into one smooth piece. as for the tinting, do it. Screen glare is only one of the benefits he'll recieve from thatgood luck! and keep us posted
