Here's a possible solution for the lip around the LCD. I'll see what the machinist says. They can offer this... but I'm sure most of you want it stay under $100. This finish would push it closer to $130.

It is from a carputer... in a MK IV... and that ring is simply polished aluminum.

Yeah I actually ended up buying a Xenarc from that guy for $137 because the TS was shot. It'll suit me fine until I can afford the kit and it's still a decent deal in addition to the kit. It should be here before the end of the week. The amp/power inverter/external HD all went in today and I have to run the speaker wires, turn on lead and mount the laptop tomorrow. Busy week, busy busy week.
EDIT: I was always curious. The .: in .:R32 is just to imitate the logo, yes? I assumed this but for some reason I need to confirm it to make sure I'm not missing something. I haven't seen external shots of your ride. Is it Jazz Blue? Please tell me it's Jazz Blue... They made a color called Fjord Blue that came in the same year as the Passat I have and it's the one thing (other than the Climatronic) that I always wished I had. I think this is all because a certain color blue that Audi used around that same era. I saw that car and it's been my favorite car color ever since... </rant>

Nah, it's Reflex Silver. Sorry to "disappoint". We went with silver because the 18" wheels don't stand out as much on a silver car. And driving my TT has taught me the LAST thing I won't to do is stand out! I'm tired of drawing ***-loads of negative attention just because of my ride. The .:R is just as fun, but it doesn't stand out except to those who know what it is. And that makes driving more fun.

Oh, I'm far from dissapointed. I saw a GTi the other day in the exact same silver with red painted brake calipers and lightly smoked tail lights. Its rare seeing modded VW's out here. Everyones driving civics...
