    this is the stuff im looking for. I know some one at an audio store and he talked me into letting him make me a box out of it and WOW.

    Ehh so why did the fiberglass not stick to the amp rack?
    CarPC install is starting to come along again...

    I did not fully saturate the fleece with epoxy, I used over half a gallon and was only like 3/4 saturated.
    now working on my Dodge Dak
    toshiba portege == done
    audigy2 NX == done
    7" flush mount == 0%
    pimp rating == 48%

    did you staple the fleece to the mdf?

    it doesn't need to be 100% saturated. you need to layer it, use the fiberglass mesh to put it on top of that, nobody will look into the custom shape.

    thats correct, when i built my new sub box the back side was stil soft. then i put layers of mat on.

    the problem is that once i cut it to fit the amp in it was too lose on the MDF and i just was not happy with the shape, I could have saved it but it would not have been the way i wanted it.
