    Pug 306 - Dash Fabricated - so far

    Here are the pics so far, not perfect but not bad for a first attempt!

    Just need to do the rest of it now! The two cables are there temporarily, one is the IR receiver for the screen the other is a temporary power source.

    The screen is to be resprayed in a dull silver with a Plasti-kote Metallic clear laquer - its too reflective and doesn't look as stock as I'd hoped it would.

    looks good but that paint has got to go. The original grey of your dash is so much nicer - wouldnt mind doing all mine that colour.

    Yeah I know, I was hoping it would look better than it did, its coming out over the weekend and being resprayed in silver like the original.

    Have you got any pics with the front off and the components inside?

    Yeh, it's cool, but the paint mings :P

    I *SO* wanna get mine finished now. I've gotta drive home with the screen balanced on top of the dash

    The MiniITX is in the boot at the moment, it will be behind the dash eventually but taking it a step at a time at the moment ... don't want to run before I can walk as I need to make an enclosure for it.

    wasted?! dear god, have you seen me *naked*?! clothes are a complete nescessity, lest everyone i meet gets retinal damage, and i get cold.

    Anyway, the pain of buying the indash unit would have been too great to bare, given the sarcastic stares from jen when i can't afford to buy food and have to borrow money from my dad....

    </in all seriousness>

    oh sigh, I'd just like my screen to not fall off :P
