How many tubes did you have to go through to make that dvd housing?

Well, the last few afternoons/evenings, I spent a little time sanding, priming, sanding priming, sanding, priming... you get the picture... well, I got so tired of sanding and priming that I threw a quick coat of paint on my dash and called it quits... now I'm sick! During my SEVERAL steps of sanding and priming, I made a HUGE mistake... I kept lightly sanding the edge where the screen shows through the dash/bezel... well, I managed to take enough out that the upper edge now has a slight arc to it... and... well... look at the pictures below... you can see the upper edge of the touchscreen! Honestly, at this point, I have 4-6 hours of time invested (few minutes here and there for the last SEVERAL weeks! lol)... what should I do? Scrap the work and start over, or just live with it... in one of the pictures, it shows the dash at an angle that is closer to what it will be viewed from... and with it being in more of a shadowed area instead of under the lights and flash... it might not be so noticable... then again, I could buy a new, replacement bezel and get off my *** and probable have it back together and RIGHT in a few days time... anyway... check it out... I'm just sick to death!
All of these thoughts and I was planning on installing my system next week since I'm off on vacation and plan to just stay home... eek!
Coach... aka Randy! (I often forget who I really am!) ;)
***Too many pieces and parts to list... maybe someday I'll show'm to ya!***

Hi All,
I tried the ABS + Acetone mix, the ABS box and the abs paste fused together really well, but the paste didn't even affect the other plastic I tried to stick the ABS box to.. I will see how the ABS goes on the lilliput screen but I might try with glass filler because I hear more positive results with that..
Can I use glass filler?? We've been using it on my brothers car to fill rust so we have a heap of it left over
Will give the ABS a shot first up, and see if I can get the acetone to melt this other plastic a bit.
Thanks for the tips so far!
Tim.
FLESIK, did you sand the paint off of your monitor before you applied the plastic? I have a Lilliput and the ABS bonds to the sanded plastic really well.
Epia MII 10000 512MB RAM - 60 GB 2.5" Hard Drive -Opus 90 - Lilliput 7" Touchscreen - Panasonic 8123 Slotload DVD burner - PCMCIA USB2.0 Card - Rikaline 6010 GPS - PS2 Micro Keyboard
Can you not fill it with some more ABS gook and touch it up with some texture paint?![]()
