Solvent adhesives... why don't more people use them?

Mostly they are pieces left over from injection molding. Similar to the pieces that hold all the parts of a model car together before you snap them off. They regrind these and use them again for injection molding. It melts them down and squirts them into the mold.

Up until now I never knew what it was made of, i planned on using it to install my lcd.

That's some interesting stuff, I like their applications, but a little pricey...And I can't trust a company that tries to sell a LED and resistor for $5...

hahaha obviously you know nothing about LED's. It comes with a resistor and a gromit and it is 8000-11000 mcd

for that brightness it isn't a bad price

Hmmmm, a resitor and a gromet? WOW...
Wait...here we go: 11000mcd leds for all of $1.74, 24000mcd white led for $2.54...
Resistors from the same site are 5 for a quarter, and a gromet can be found anywhere (for less than the $4 (EDIT-$3) it would take to make the cost equivalent to that of the abs adhesives site)

As for LED prices... I see a lot of LED's that are really pricey... but what do I know?

I am really interested in this method of fabrication and would like to see any updated pictures as you continue to work on it.
