lucite to metal, what adhesive?

You can see, I am trying to attach the front metal lcd facing of the psone lcd to my custom plexi front. I need something strong.

I do have some black loctite 380 (I got from my old factory job, supposed to be pretty hardcore). Should I try that? I am gonna have to be verrrry careful not to get it on the screen.

Any other suggestions?

you should make metal brackets that screw into the screw holes for the monitor and then attach to the dash bezel out on the edge of the lucite (where I assume you'll also need to attach the lucite to the dash bezel).

That or you could make a vented fiberglass rear cover for the whole thing and sandwich it all together.

Hrm, yes that would work, but then I would have screw holes in my dash, which is the one thing I was trying to prevent, I will keep that in mind tho!

well if you build up the inside of the bezel a bit with some ABS goop, you should be able to drill and screw into that without going all the way through. check out the solvent adhesives thread for info on that.
