removing super glue fog

I screwed up and used loctite on my lucite faceplate, and the bottom of it fogged up (I was patching a corner that didnt stick well)

Now the front corners are fogged up where the superglue was applied, any idea how to remove this?

Just from personal expierence, try Acetone seems to remove just about anything. Be careful though, I'm thinking the acetone might eat through the plastic, if it is plastic. Test it somewhere before using it one your faceplate. An tottaly off the top of my head, I've used simple green for just about anything. I keep a bottle in my car just in case. Try some simple green too, not quite as strong as acetone, but it can clean damn well.

My co-worker told me that it is chemically bonded with the lucite and that it wont be cleanable...

any ideas? total suckage.

You could sand it down through the 'fog' with some very fine grit (800+) wet paper and then polish it with a good plastic polish. Obviously, this will make the material thinner where it's sanded, but at least it won't be foggy.

Anyways, I wish I could sell this Crate halfstack and grab a lilliput/xenarc

It could also be crazing. Which is basically small cracks in the polymer caused by a chemical reaction. Either way, I'd try wet sanding it with 1000 grit then 1500 grit. Then a fine polish like Megazuma Final Polish 2. I've unhazed automotive lenses this way but your mileage may vary.

Man, didn't i tell you that my superglue that was holding a corner of my lilliput against the housing fogged the bottom right corner of it? Yes, I think I did haha.

Oh well, its not too bad......It will do till I can afford a Lilli or xenarc.

Its just the head right? How much, I think we already discussed this but I am actually wanting a better amp.
