I mean like break their vision. Ultraviolet light is almost invisible to our eyes but it still damages alot because in reality the light is very strong.

Like you know those whisles for dogs that we cant hear(because the frequency is too high for us to hear it) its still there but we cant hear it. (but that example is not so good as I dont think it damages our ears).
Interesting. Maybe UV light can also diffuse laser

I think laser is IR, on the other end of the spectrum.

It would probably take quite a bit of UV to damage your eyes. More than the amount from the sun that causes skin cancer or the UV lights doctors use to check your eyes. I use one to find SMD parts or other tiny things I drop in the carpet.

I took 2 pics here. One is 36,000 mcd red and the other is 46,000 mcd white. Guess which is which.

Damn... would be cool though to jam laser.

I'm guessing that the brighter one is the 36,000 mcd red LED.

No, they are not too bright. That one is a 5 LED 192 from superbrightleds.com and got most of the others there and some 1157 light towers from autolumination.com

Looks like I'm kinda threadjacking. Sorry blkfire!

Just wondering if you can make the same leds for the light (red) and for the blicking repeaters (yellow). That would be hot...

    The taillights look awesome man!

Again not exactly what I mean. Ill try and explain a little bit more this time

You know when you look into a LED(lets say a 6000mcd blue LED) for a few seconds. For a few minutes you see a blue spot(because your image captors(dont know the name in english) in your eyes become saturated), anyways if you look at the led for too long it damages your eye.
But a uv LED if you look at it, it looks as its not strong but in reality its doing as much damage(depends how much mcd) to your eye than the blue LED.

Im not saying it will destroy you like the sun :P I dont think it will do much to you if you dont look directly at it and right in front of you. But if its at like 5 cm of your eye and your looking in the middle of it, it will do damage even if it doesnt look very strong.

Edit: No I dont think lasers are only infrared, I just checked and you can get lasers in many colors not just infrared. The difference between laser light and all other lights is that laser light can only be one color at a time(monochromatic is also all the same color) and the waves are all parralel so they are going at the same direction.
