Thread: Just Starting Vectra C Dash

Hi, welcome. Post a pic of your dash, as well as your car. That looks a liiiiiiiiittle too small for the Linitx casing as I see it...

Welcome - I am very intrested in what your upto been a fellow Veccy owner ( u on VVOC ? There are a couple of lurkers from there here as well ). My plan was to do the same as us but as a 2 din install using an in dash screen / Kenwood HU.

hello and good modding... i got a vauxhall as well although it is a calibra... is it the same dash?

at Cris, Yeah the size is an issue, it wil just fit the screen in, need to move the buttons, was thinking of just using the remote control if needs be

at ccsnet, Yeah I lurk over on VVOC, My main car is a saab 900 convertible, the Vectra C is the family car which my wife usually drives, however we are going on a driving holiday in europe later this year, so I thought that I would put the PC in the Vectra.

Right then, some more pictures
first the dash as it is currently


Rough cuts made


First layer of filler


a quick coat of paint (to check colour match)


test fit of the screen before spending loads of time sanding and sanding some more


rough idea of how it will look with Road Runner (need to change the logo)


Lots more sanding and painting to do.
I will post the finished item shortly

Cant wait to see this... can you tell me is the slot 2 din or 1.5 din ? I need to know cos when I get mine I need to do it as a 2 din slot.

U in the UK ? Come over to the DC forum ( link below ) I think there may be another meet around October.

Last one I went to we had an Astra and a Holden ( huba huba ) turn up....
