    Sanding Plastic Primer

Okay, the dash piece is finally done and primered. It is very smooth but could still benefit from some sanding before painting. How do you reccomend to sand it? It is on its 3rd layer of plastic primer.

I have some 400 but I'm not sure if that would just strip the primer completely. Thanks.

I would try 600 wet. You might have to do a few more coats depending on how thick the primer is.

I used 400 after the third coat of primer and applied everything in a very fine mist. Between coats of actual paint I used a very fine sanding sponge. It looks pretty nice, not bad a for a first shot at any fabrication.
