    What Next?

Here ares some pics of the start of my boot build. I have cut a very tight fitting false floor to mount the PC and amp to however I am unsure as to what route to take now. How shall I go about fabricating the sides to the boot?

you could just build the sides with mdf and then carpet that. it'll give you a clean flat edge and great final result

Any advice for me taking the fibreglass route? what do you use to ensure a clean release? masking tape the area then I've heard to use a releasing wax. Any particular products I should look for? Once I have taken the mould of the walls where do I go from there?

Thanks for the advice so far guys.

I'd like to add another panel to sit on top of the amp and pc so the tops are flush with it and the wiring is hidden out of site. The walls are going to be tricky though. If I was to mask off the edges and fibreglass like you say.

fiberglassing to the contrours of the trunk won't look all that pretty as a final product; but if you want to go that route first use some auto wax and apply it to the metal as a precautionary step. then i usually us aluminum foil and cover the area. apply the fg resin/cloth directly on the foil and then let it cure. you can putt a layer or two down then pull it out and add more till you're happy.

I was thinking more to get a mould to work off so I can create a nice curve for the interior edges.

the best releasing wax in the world is car wax.. not the ****e in bottles but the old fashioned shoe polish style tins.
