I don't really like the idea of an open glovebox (which is where the CD holders are in the 997s) or flex stalks.

Are there any replacement visors with maybe 6" or 7" widescreen touch screens?

    Thanks again!

I've contacted drivesoft, and they said that they could:
    1. Convert the 5.5 inch LCD in my PCM into a touchscreen
    2. Possibly create an interface/switch for the PCM

Has anyone done anything like this?

They said they would see if they can do it if I sent them the PCM. They have done it for a cayenne PCM. I'm waiting to hear back from Porsche how much a replacement would cost because I want to get a guarentee that if they mess it up, they will pay for it...

    1. Via boards can handle this fine
    2. Check the Front Ends Section for NaviVoice and the like
    3. Check the Wireless Section, many a thread about this
    4. Look for 'Valentine One to PC' thread
    5. Get some adapters from radio shack, unless you want to use you stock head unit, in which case you're most likely stuck using an FM Modulator.

Juan I wouldnt do it I have a porsche 996 c2 that I am almost finished with I would love to do it for you as I also have a 997 that my business partner owns. There is going to be some issues as the bose amplifier have siz seperate channels that need to be interface which is abit tough as the input signal voltage to the amp on a bose system is near 16 volts yes input signal. beside that check out my system on the thread below see what you think. By the way the screen is 8.4 " very big once you install it.
