Headunit + Motorized touchscreen in Hummer H3?

    Hello,

I just bought a brand new Hummer H3 and am looking to put my Car PC in it. I already have an Pioneer DEH-P5500MP headunit with aux-in, which I am going to ask the guys at Circuit City to put in (hey, it's free). I am also looking to purchase a motorized in-dash touchscreen, perhaps one from the mp3car stores. My question is, is it possible to put both in my dashboard (in place of my stock headunit) at the same time? My headunit measures 2" in height and the motorized touchscreens are also about 2" in height. I measured, and I have about 4 1/2" of space in my dash. Would this work with power and the like?

Here are some pictures of my interior:

    Thanks in advance.

    Mike

I would have to say yes if you can get a HU install kit for a single din HU to make the 2 look right and the guys at Circuit City if they put it in should have the install kits for sale if not you should beable to google one

wouldn't it be better just to put a monitor in the double-din space ? Looks like it's the exact good shape And it would be gorgeous

I don't want to put a regular monitor there because I have no way to hook up the audio to my speakers without the head unit, no radio, no XM, etc.

    Wrong.
All you'd need is an amp. You can have XM as well. Radio, too. AM isn't in the mix presently, however. It's on the horizon.

You need to make a trip to the FAQ Emporium.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?
