    Forgot the hardener!

    Hi,

    How long will it take for body filler to dry without the hardening agent?
    Or won't it set at all?

    :-P i dont think it will set at all ive had bondo on the mixin board thingie witout hardner for a few days and it still didnt set

    i had a board with bondo that didnt make it into the hardner, it dried out after a few months, but its still kind of plyable.

    in other words, it aint dryin!

    It cant harden , The hardner is a chemical , when you mix the hardner with the filler it causes a chemical reaction and than it hardens.

    I stripped it all off, and then remixed, and then started again. Nice and hard now...without viagra. Squoze out the last of the hardener and spread it over the top and then hairdried. Rock solid. going to leave overnight under a lamp.

    Only your top layer will be dry. If the hardner is not mixed throughly through the body filler you will have wet spots. Scrape it and do over.
