Glueing Visor Back together after Keyboard install??

Guys Ive installed my keyboard in my drivers visor, but I cannot get the two sides of the visor to stay tighly shut again. Ive tried industrial strength hot glue, constuction adhesive, silicone, spray contact cement. Nothing will hold for over a couple months. Everyime Ive tried some thing I get two pieces of wood and clamps and compressor the visor together and let the glue set. But it always loosens. Anyone know of sometype of glue for plastic, strong stuff, maybe something that will melt the two plastic pieces of the visior shut??? Thanks for any suggestions.

If it's ABS plastic, Which most car plastics are. Use this, It will melt the two peices of plastic into one peice. You can get it at home depot or any place like that. It's in the plumbing department. It works great.http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show...5&postcount=24

Home Depot also sells plastic epoxies in the paint department.

yeah..theres two ways to approach this...either slow setting & have enough working time to set the whole visor up in one shot...or what I did was work with quick setting stuff & just do it in multiple sections..... set a corner.... wait 1/2 hour...set the next 6" or so....etc.... I find more control with this approach...especially if you've got to influence the overall fit.... works better in sections than whole thing in one shot....

ca (crazyglue) can be O.K. if the two pieces are flat against each other, but on any visor I've ever done you will need more of a filling, like an epoxy...

How do you deal with the possibility of glue squishing out and getting on the fabric?
