You'd be better off cutting it out and doing it again as nine times out of ten it will stay soft and it will ruin the install
i'm relocating my HU for my civic. and i'm using bondo to fabricate the new location for my HU. but the thing is that I used too little hardener for the bondo. do i have to wait days for it to harden or can i do somthing else to make it harden faster? and i don't want to put another bondo on top of it with more hardener cause i already did 3 layers of bondo and i'm not really good at using bondo. any help????

so the bondo without enough hardener will never harden???
sucks to be you!

yeah, even if it "hardens" it wont be hard.....always overestimate your hardener, and work fast.

My work log
You can't do that either! depends on the material used, too much hardner will either turns it into gell (epoxy/resin) or it will be brittle (body filler) and cracks.Originally Posted by Peoples
yeah, i had to redo my bondo with little more bondo...had to work really fast. i got a question for you experts with bondos. how do you guys put on the bondo? with brush, or with hand?? i had to work with my fingers to make them smooth cause the brush didn't really work for me.
Use this , they come in various sizes.
where ever you bought your bondo, esp auto parts stores, they sell the bondo brand "plastic spreaders"
ive never used a brush, i dont even see how you would. the great thing about the plastic spreaders is that when the bondo dries on them, you just flex and the bondo breaks right off. its wonderful clean up. they even come in the exact color that your hardener-bondo mix should be, for easy mixing. they are really amazing.
