Good luck with your new truck...I have seen an Envoy install but he did not do an indash if I remember correctly...it was like a side mount and I believe he kept the stock radio.
Edit: 2005 GMC Envoy XL
Anyone with pics that has the screen in the dash?
I just purchased an '02 trailbalzer after my car was total almost a month ago.
Right now I have all the stuff ready to go, but I'm having a hard time on whats the best way to go about the screen...and yes I didbut I came up with broken links....
By the way I'm using a T-View 7" TS

Thanks...I was reading that same post...I really wanna kept the screen in the dash...The problem I'm having: The screen by it self would fit without the housing, I'm was thinking of using wood or fiber glass to hold the screen in and relocate the buttons eles where.Originally Posted by Shelbrain

I get 15 MPG because of the superchaged..... and yes I fixed the bumper, and got some good tickets for concerts in the process...![]()
what, do you have the v8? i have an i6 and im getting upwards of 20. the milage is pretty sweet for how big and heavy the car is.
Right now i have mine sandwiched in the dash. its the lilliput 7", if you take off the radio bezel, itll sit perfectly between the mounting "bracket" and the front bezel, won't move an inch. you need a right angle USB plug for the RCA cable, but besides that, theres no issue. I'm going to gut mine and have the whole dash fiberglassed. Screen on top, h701 controller below that, and AC will go at the bottom where the 4wd/cig/rear wiper controls are, all of which will be relocated. i'm working on a circuit that will switch the inputs according to certain inputs (ie turn on ps2, reverse for cam), so if i have any buttons for the screen, they'll be in the center console or what have you. i dont know when im going to get the glass job done, i really hate fiberglassing, so i'm going to pay someone else to do it
so yeah, if you have any questions, hit me up. ive torn my baby up front to back, i think i know the car pretty decent

I'll get pics sometime soon, its not very fancy whatsoever. it does looks "alright" though, easy way to "mount" the screen w/o having to cut, drill, etc, and it holds it nice.
you probably want to get the relocation harness, read around on trailvoy for the debate, the relocation harnesses only run $30 tops, better safe than sorry methinks.
go go base model, thats what I have too.
