I would just get an adapter to display carPC on the stock video screen.
As for me, i decided to save the extra $2000+ for the GPS unit and proceeded to tear up the whole car appart to make it look stock + carPC
Acura TL 2004
If your worried about glare, (check local laws *cough*) get some 5% Tint. TL's are sweet cars to begin with, 5% all around is even nicer.

moahdib, i dont think they have a VGA adapter for the Navi screen that comes with our TL's. The resolution on the stock navi screen cant reach 800x600 (at least i dont think) .... correct me if im wrong

yeah the picture would be somewhat blurry...they make the mod to add video to the navi screen but you would have to use rca type cables which reduces quality and the screen doesnt have enough horizontal pixels...My friend got the car first then decided to install a pc so we had to go with the two screen setup...I know some ppl chose the car based on the pc install but this wasnt the case in this install...plus you cant have touch screen which make its a pain in the arse to use when driving...chita70, the screen in that TL is completely removable but I suggest buying another armrest which will set you back about 170 bucks...thats what we did and the car can easily be returned to stock form...Goodluck on your installation and if you have anymore questions just message me...

I would also go for screen adapter. I think it is doable. TS screen at that angle is hard to read/reach and you risk to lose it when do the wrong move with the hand. Otherwise very slick...

i thought that too before but I switched car with him last weekend and used the pc...The view is great if you roll like a pimp with the seat slightly reclined but if you are use to having your seat up right in soccer mom position then it might not be for you...and its very easy to reach...I am strongly against the video mod just because of the blurry look and their is no way around that...because I tried it on my clarion headunit and hated the fact that it was blurry because it didnt look clean when showing others...The screen is angled to increase viewing range and even backseat passengers can see it...Lastly, the armrest in the new TLs is adjustable which means it can slide forwards and backwards...

even with 5% tint which i have, glare is still a problem on sunny days.
There's no way I could do that with my 6 speed...
Props for creativity though...not too bad.
