The screen will be flush mounted into the housing once all the wiring is complete...Should look very similar to a high quality headrest monitor installation
This is my friend's acura which already had the navi from the factory...Well the problem was that he still wanted a carputer for MP3s and videos so we had to design and fabricate a location for the 7 inch screen...Another one of my friends is a great fabricator so he helped us on the finishing...The look of the interior is very interesting because the car feels like an airplane from the back seat...I hope this gives ideas to other ppl...Tell me what you think...Im sure he will post the finished project once we put the car back together...BTW the armrest is fully functional too...

That said, the fab-work looks good.
I wonder how glare affects visibility with the screen at that location and angle.
cool idea, the fab looks good.
the only drawback would be looking away from the road to see the screen, but once you get used to it you shouldnt have to look for changing volume, ect.

Any chance of tapping into the factory screen (to use it for the carputer) and then being able to flip back and forth?
interesting install pimpmode... i just got an 05 Acura with Navi and i have NO idea where i could put my 7" lilliputI would like to have it so that i can take the monitor out if i dont want it (kinda semi permanant) I checked out proclips products and they might be able to do something with the lilli's. What audio adapter are you using to get into the Acura's stock audio system? (im guessing blitzsafe's adapter where you lose the XM radio) thanks bud

I think you be able to put legal dvd matching on that 2nd screen because it looks technically out of the drivers view, (peripheral vision)? That would make that mod even more brilliant.
